12 weeks….the 86th day…and still no trace of Joanne.  Last week’s helicopter search did not result in any new information. This week Arent’s sister from Brazil spent a week with us and we enjoyed that very much. It is important to be with your family at times like this. This morning we took her to Schiphol airport which was rather emotional. Also the fact that Schiphol has so many memories for us connected with Joanne: leaving for and arriving from America or Uganda so many times…so many memories…so difficult now…  The Tros Vermist editors asked us to write a “letter” which they put on their website. The intention was to use this letter in their broadcast of March 6th but they had no time left because of other missing people so they had to cancel it. That’s why we put this letter on our website:  It is now 12 weeks ago that Joanne disappeared so mysteriously, 12 weeks of intensive search by the  investigation team and also by friends, acquaintances, colleagues, pupils etc.We know that many Tros Vermist viewers through out the country are trying to find her.How is it possible that Joanne hasn’t been found yet?There must be someone out there who knows more and maybe knows exactly what happened.How is it possible that this person (these persons) can sleep at nights without being troubled by his or their conscience.It seems impossible that the persons in his or their family or surroundings haven’t noticed anything strange. Maybe they don’t want to act and speak out because the person involved is a  partner or a child who they love.But we love Joanne so very much and we miss her immensely.The uncertainty of what happened to Joanne is unbearable.We call upon these people to please end this unbearable uncertainty and speak out (anonymously if they want) and tell the police where they can find Joanne.Please help us find her!!  Thank you all for your support.  Thomas and Tanja, Arent and Helma
